Each heavy chunk of slate is millions of years old and is hand picked from the quarries of North Wales and will be unique in shape.

These very rugged and natural heavy chunks of slate are hand picked to deliver an unique and dramatic statement for those looking for a very different memorial for their loved ones. The inscriptions and motifs are sandblasted deeply into the surface of the slate and infilled with enamel paint or left unfilled. Each monolith comes with an integral supporting slate stanchion approx 3" wide at the base fitted to the rear which gives the memorial a very high level of freestanding stability. Each piece of slate will vary in height, width, thickness and weight but will work out approximately 16"x 6"x 1.25" x 4 - 6kgs. We have large stocks available and can send you an image by email of the actual piece you will be receiving and can liaise with you to show you mock ups by superimposing the lettering and motifs you require onto the image. Also illustrated is the popular verse "The kiss of the sun for pardon" engraved into the monolith.
These commemorative tributes can be used as temporary grave markers or stand alone memorials. This is an ideal solution for a tree plaque or tree marker or commemorative stone.
The lettering and silhouette motifs are deeply sandblasted into the surface of the slate and infilled with enamel gold, silver or white paint or left unfilled.
In order to make your memorial more personal, we offer a range of silhouettes from our menu or we can produce customised silhouettes to suit. We also offer a customised photograph option which we can produce from customers' uploaded images. These photographs are laser engraved in greyscale on to fadesafe and weatherproof discs which are attached to the plaque. Logos can also be reproduced giving a very sharp and crisp facsimile.
